Thank you for sharing your coming out story at Kawneer. Your perspective and coming out story is so important for all Alcoans to hear and understand. Even though your coming out wasn’t completely smooth, I think that your example serves as a positive model for so many other LGBT Alcoa employees.

Alcoa’s commitment to full equality and respect for all employees is commendable. Whether it’s the domestic partner benefits, the fully inclusive employee don-discrimination policy or Alcoa’s quickly growing ERG (EAGLE) – it’s rare to see a mining and primary metal company that goes so far in the struggle for LGBT equality and commitment to their employees.
